A Christmas in July function was held on the 24 July to raise money for the Club and its two main charities, the Cambodia Hospital Equipment and Make FASD History projects.  The event was held on level 50 of Central Park, offering commanding views over Perth at night, and was attended by 180 people.

The area, which is a vacant office floor, was magnificently decorated by Christmas 360.  Sean, Simon and Russell (who flew over from Sydney) donated their time and provided the decorations, which took two full days to set up.  We cannot thank these guys enough, they are an amazing group of people and have been a great support to us in holding this event.

A variety of entertainment was provided during the evening.  The Baden Street Singers greeted the guests in the lobby with Christmas carols, and later performed on stage for the diners.

The MC for the evening was Only the Human, and UWA Pantomime Society performed two skits to amuse the crowd.

The evening was organised by Ian and Isa Rapley, who put a tremendous effort in.  To top it off, they acted out a version of the Twelve days of Christmas, which had the crowd roaring with laughter.

Garry Azor on the guitar accompanied by the DJ Witch Entertainment wrapped up the evening and got the dance floor rocking.

The evening was a great success and enjoyed by all.  The funds raised will assist Rotary to progress the two projects and benefit those less fortunate that us.  Thanks to everyone that assisted in making the event and for all those that came along to support us.
