The bowling day held at the Yokine Bowling Club on Sunday 21 March was a great success, with lots of fun and laughter had by all and over $3,500 raised for our Homeless Housing projects.

The youngest participant was 1 year old, although his participation lacked focus!

A total of 22 teams with a variety of amusing names participated including Grumpy Old Farts who had a go at Wonder Women, the Seagulls who kept pecking at the Cockroaches, and Dawns Diamonds who mixed in with those from No Fixed Address.

On a very hot day we were all pleased to see the bar open at 10.30. A delicious BBQ was put on for lunch, followed by raffle and novelty prizes and presentations to the winners and runners up.

It was a fantastic day, with close to 100 people either bowling or supporting the Club. It presented a wonderful networking opportunity for all our guests to get an understanding of the work we do. The proceeds of the day, some $3500, went to our homeless project.

The team in First Place were THE SEAGULLS, Second were THE INCREDIBOWLS. With a lot of first time bowlers it was fairly chaotic on the greens with bowls flying from green to green, going the wrong way or ending up in the ditch!

A big thankyou goes to the YOKINE BOWLING CLUB, for the use of their club, in fact it was a win win as they had one of their best bar taking days for some time, and we received a generous donation from them for our homeless project.
